Anne Shapiro, 90, formerly of Duluth died Thursday, May 28, 1998, in Sholom Home East in St. Paul.

 

She was the daughter of Samuel and Rose Widdes. She and her husband, Lewis, owned the Duluth Camera Exchange which was on First Street.

 

She was a very active member of the Adas Israel Synagogue in Duluth, a member of its sisterhood and a member of Hadassah.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; and her son, Jerome ''Jerry.''

 

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Shapiro (Norman Silberberg) of St. Paul; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Idah Kaner of St. Louis Park, Minn.; and daughter-in-law, Bonni Shapiro.

 

Funeral service 2 p.m. today in Adas Israel Cemetery, Howard Gnesen Road, Duluth. Memorials preferred to the Adas Israel Synagogue or the Sholom Home East in St. Paul. Arrangements by Hodroff and Sons Funeral Home.
